Sean was the leader of Ainsworth Pet Nutrition from 2008 > 2018, having spent his career there since 1994. (President 2007, President & CEO 2008 > 2014, Exec Chairman 2014-2018). Sean recruited, developed & led a team that grew Ainsworth from a $200 million regional family business to a $2.0 billion disruptive industry leader in premium pet food & snacks, with the Rachael Ray NUTRISH brand.
Sean is currently the CEO of Ainsworth Investments. Sean’s family is passionate about animal rescue and has been involved with large expansion projects for the Big Dog Ranch Rescue and North Shore Animal League. Sean is currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cleveland Clinic Florida. Sean & Beth’s family created an endowed research program at Cleveland Clinic Florida to develop opioid-free post-operative pain management.Sean holds a BA from Colgate University (1992), and studied at the London School of Economics.
During college Sean played for the Colgate Rugby Team and the Colgate Ski Team. Following an internship at British Petroleum in London, Sean moved to New York City and worked as a financial analyst for Chemical Bank (now Chase Bank) from 1992-1995. Sean & Beth have three children Jackson (22), Lulu(15) & Ella Ross(13). Sean continues to be a student of family dynamics in business, and enjoys wake-surfing, hydro-foiling, snowboarding, quail hunting and golf.
